Aside the big exhibition halls at Frankfurt´s book fair young designers, artists, authors and publishers showed publications as well as complex designed collector´s pieces between the 14th and 15th of October 2011.

Thereby profit was of secondary importance. Rather it focuses on designs and prints as an independent artistic form of expression. Simultaneous basis Frankfurt e.V. organized a conference about the topic “Print Culture – Dead or Alive?!.”

Pioneers of Europe´s self-publishing scene got a chance to speak. Among them the internationally renowned Swiss designer and publisher Urs Lehni (Rollo Press) and the famous designer team of Åbäke from London, which distributes magazines as well as fashion and music. The blogger Charlotte Cheetham of “Manystuff”.
