Notebook … with a Twist
This series of notebooks with a candy-striped edge colouring was developed for the Moseum of Modern Art San Francisco (SF MoMA). Contrary to the common longitudinal stripes, which are generated automatically when binding differently coloured papers to form one book, the stripes on this book were printed on the book edges rotated by 90°. It is this tiny twist turning this notebook into something very unique.
As a cover, our material Smooth Bonded Leather was individually dyed in the client’s corporate design colour Pantone 032. The elastic band as a closure is just a little bit darker red, and is thus perfectly corresponding with the silk screen printed MoMA logo. The endleaves were printed matching shades with the cover PMS 032. This definitely is one of brandbook’s highlight productions.
