nuuna X SF MoMA
Tomorrow, may 14th, the new San Francisco MoMA reopens its doors. It will than be the biggest museum in the US – a spectacular expansion was designed by architecture firm Snøhetta.
For the grand opening we produced two notebooks that in shape and design were inspired by our existing nuuna collection. One of them is a tribute to the brick wall and window of the SF MoMA Botta building at Third Street in San Francisco (architect: Mario Botta).
The second book was illustrated by famous british illustrator Andrew Gibbs, aka SODAVEKT, and was inspired by the new “living wall”, a gigantic wall consisting of 20.000 different plants. Gibbs as well included the buliding’s stripes in his design. We are really looking forward to the book that quotes the design of the new museum’s expansion.
